Dear
Fellow Catalina Owner,
What is
the San Diego Catalina Association (SDCA)?
We
are a fun-loving non-profit sailing group of Catalina owners. Our
membership is comprised of over 40 boating families – all with
Catalina’s ranging from 27-42 feet. (All Catalina owners and
associates are welcome).
Are
you an "old salt?"
You will find experienced cruisers and racers in our midst. Are you new to San Diego or to sailing? SDCA is a great place to learn all
kinds of technical things about our boats; as well as, gain local
knowledge, racing skills, cruising, navigating, currents, weather,
oceanography, ocean life...you name it.
For
your convenience, a membership application is on the other side of this
page. Annual dues for the San Diego Catalina Assn. are $30 - a fantastic
bargain! Events are announced
at our monthly meetings, in our monthly e-mail newsletters and our website
homepage: www.sdcatalinaassoc.com
We
meet the first Wednesday of the every month at 7:00 PM at the Silver Gate
Yacht Club on Shelter
Island (except May-Sept:
we meet on Thursdays). Meetings
include an informative industry speakers, “tech talks” and news
of upcoming events. Our events
include monthly raft ups (Feb. – Oct.), monthly races and regularly
scheduled social events. Visitors are always welcome!
Don’t
Live In San Diego?
You
are more than welcome to join us at any of our monthly meetings, raft-ups
or races. In fact, 20% of our members have their boat in San Diego, but live out of the area or
out of state. Come Join The Fun!
See
you on the water,
James
